We are the same church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior with full apostolic succession. Also, we base our traditions on the teaching and the wisdom of the early church fathers. Further, we believe in one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We are Catholic, not Roman Catholic; but still recognized by that church. The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in its Declaration, Dominus Jesus, dated 6 August 2000 states of these “particular Churches”
We believe that Jesus is the Christ and our personal Savior.
The IOCC believes in the Holy Trinity.
We believe in the inerrancy and divine inspiration of Holy Scripture.
The IOCC believes in one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
The IOCC believes in the three historic creeds: Nicene, Apostles and Athanasian.
The IOCC believes in the wisdom and guidance of the doctrines of the Seven Early Church Ecumenical Councils.
The IOCC believes in the wisdom and guidance of the Early Church Fathers.
The IOCC believes in the Seven Sacraments: Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation, Matrimony, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Orders
The IOCC believes that the Bread and Wine become the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
The IOCC believes that the Eucharist is open to all Christian believers.
The IOCC believes that all Holy Orders are open to both men and women, married or single.
The IOCC believes that celibacy of those in Holy Orders is a personal decision.
The IOCC believes in the importance of and holds valid Apostolic Succession.
IOCC believes in the sanctity of marriage, however we further believe that Jesus is merciful and those who have been divorced and/or remarried are offed the sacraments of the Church.
The IOCC believes that contraception is a personal decision.
The IOCC believes that abortion and euthanasia is the taking of human life, however we also are aware of the loving and forgiving nature of God. As such we still accept those to the table and other Sacraments
